Business Analyst II
The Business Analyst II role is a Mid-level position that will work with key business stakeholders and be responsible for the requirements gathering, business process design, development of use cases, testing, and post production support of the company wide business applications. Must demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of Business Process workflow and a thorough understanding of the Information Technology development process. Project management responsibilities will be required on a limited basis and include providing coordination of all activities pertaining to project planning, estimating, resource allocation, software development, project status reporting, problem resolution and collaboration with key stakeholders.
What youll be doing:
Determine business functional and reporting requirements with key subject matter experts (SMEs) through a variety of interviewing and facilitation techniques
Utilize defined requirements gathering and analysis standards to produce business analysis deliverables.
Produce/maintain project deliverables including entity model diagrams, detailed program specifications and project plans.
Validate design with users by providing proof of concept of proposed solutions.
Interact with technical architecture team on complex application implementations
Provide the development team with Business System subject matter expertise throughout the development lifecycle.
Participate in the management of the project lifecycle utilizing PMIs project management framework
Define, implement and enforce standards and methodologies that pertain to quality, consistency, and accuracy of project design, development, testing and implementation.
Perform unit and systems testing.
Plan, coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing
Manage system support to identify, provide technical expertise, track, and resolve system issues with users, technical resources and vendors
Monitors IT Intake queue for requests related to their application and works with IT Development resources to categorize requests as less than or greater than 100 hours of effort.
Collaborates with Business Requestors to create a business cases for presentations at IT Steering committees.
Develop business cases in partnership with appropriate stakeholders.
Facilitate training/onboarding plans for new hires and employees as needed.
Mentor BA Is as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
