We are the Azure Customer Experience (CXP) organization - a fast growing Engineering team of customer-obsessed & passionate individuals that drive positive customer outcomes and experiences.
FastTrack (FT) Engineering for Azure is our newest initiative; a customer success service to help customers confidently onboard to Azure and putting them on the right track to build it right, architect it right, the first time. FT takes a solution-centric approach and provides customers with Engineering resources, standard methodologies, tools and additional resources that help drive Azure usage.
We are looking for thoughtful, analytical and high energy Azure FastTrack Engineers with a passion for Azure IaaS. These Engineers will be focused on working with large enterprise customers to successfully deliver complex migration projects and drive future product enhancements based on customer feedback and learnings.
You will partner with program managers and service delivery teams to plan, architect and deliver complex infrastructure deployments and migrations for large enterprise customers, moving customers from on-premises VMWare to Azure VMWare Solution.
You will work directly with customer application, infrastructure, and security stakeholders to define requirements, strategy, and processes for successful migrations.
Provide direct feedback from customers to Azure product engineering teams to drive product improvements or escalate blocking issues.
Partner with Azure Engineering domain experts to scope, build, and document customer solutions.
Maintain knowledge of the latest on Azure/Cloud innovations in order to conduct experiments, drive product improvement, and act as subject matter trainer for other specialists.
Interact daily with other FastTrack Engineers to provide technical action plans or take ownership of situations that require escalation.
Share knowledge with others through solution documents, engage technical communities, build automated self-help solutions and create training.
Successful Candidate Competencies:
5+ years of relevant experience in Infrastructure Strategy and/or product management
Knowledge and implementation experience designing and developing solutions using VMWare’s Core Cloud Infrastructure
VMware vSAN, vSphere 7/6.7/6.5/6/5/4, VMware HCX, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), vCloud Director, vSphere Replication, SRM, Horizon View, App Volumes, Horizon Apps, Vcenter/SSO, VMware Work Space One, vRealize Log Insight, High Availability (HA), VMware Workspace One Access, VMware NSX-T/NSX-V - Migrations to NSX, NSX implementation, Load Balancing, Micro Segmentation, NSX DNS, DHCP, NSX Routing and Switching/Gateways, NSX Intelligence
Virtualization Infrastructure support VMware on ESX 3.5,4.0, ESXi4.1,5-5.5 and Vsphere 6
VMWare HCX, App Migration experience helpful
Windows Server 2019/2016/2012/2008, Linux
Experience and good understanding of any leading cloud management systems and solutions.
Strong core platform architecture concepts including hardware platform, hypervisor, Networking, security, data protection, high availability, monitoring & alerting, patching etc.
Familiarity with security & compliance standards across a variety of enterprise IT landscapes.
Experience with Azure Hosting or Infrastructure background and public cloud highly desired.
A good understanding of datacenter networking fabric topologies and common architectures deployed, both Layer 2 and Layer 3 based is highly desired
Strong presentation, influencing and communication skills.
BS or postgraduate degree in Computer Science or technology-focused discipline or equivalent experience
VCDX-DCV/CMA certification is preferred but not required
CCDP, CCNP, VCP-NV or similar desired.
7+ years of experience working with enterprise customers on Azure specific solutions, application development and deployment.
Ability to communicate effectively with corporate customers, possess an understanding of the onboarding process and demonstrate a vision for the future of Microsoft support.
Excellent customer service skills, good oral and written communication skills, proven ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations involving the most critical and politically charged customer situations, to lead projects and to motivate others.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience.
