Your Role at Baxter The Production Technician II is a salaried Non-Exempt position which contributes to our mission of saving and sustaining lives by providing operational and maintenance related support to an assigned manufacturing area. Your Team Cleveland's technology and automation is innovative. It is the U.S. sole source for plastic pour bottles, glass IV, and various reconstitution devices. This facility produces a number of major product lines with a diverse array of automated manufacturing technologies ranging from bottle solution filling, injection molding, tubing extrusion, and device assembly.

What we offer from Day One Medical, Dental and Vision coverage 160 hours of Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays 401K match Paid Parental Leave Tuition Reimbursement What you'll be doing: Operate, monitor, maintain and make adjustments as necessary to machinery in their assigned manufacturing area Perform routine and preventative maintenance activities and predictive diagnostics such as adjustments, replacement of machine parts, cleaning and lubrication while supporting Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Investigate, identify and correct any inefficiency in machine performance; diagnose mechanical wear, alignment, adjustment, and setup issues Identify process improvements on existing process and equipment Work with Maintenance team to analyze machine failures for root cause and implement corrective actions May participate in Continuous Improvement, Project and Safety Teams, Lean Initiatives, Value Stream led activities and defect prevention programs Communicate with outgoing shift personnel to acquire information regarding any problems with machines, materials, ect. encountered during the pervious shift and review point of use tool inventory Support project work to improve and modify assigned production equipment; assist in the installation of new manufacturing equipment Ensure the accurate use, care, and storage of tools and equipment Train new associates on responsible processes Notify the Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, discrepancy or major mechanical issues occur Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles including maintaining and securing provided tools In a Controlled Environment which may include the following dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, ear plugs, hairnet, beard cover, gown, shoe covers and gloves (additional PPE required when cleaning). Constant or intermittent noise. Involves working around moving equipment and machinery. Requires occasionally working with chemical cleaners and disinfectants necessary repairs. What you'll bring High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Must have basic English, written and oral, communi ation skills adequate to communicate with other team members. Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions, read and comprehend written work instructions-including words and drawings. Must be able to perform basic mathematics. Proficient in how to use a calculator and measurement tools as well as basic hand tools. Must have basic computer and mathematics skill. Basic knowledge of electronics, pneumatics and hydraulics. Possess or be able to obtain PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicle) Operator Certification. Must possess strong data analysis and decision making skills. Proficient in how to use measurement tools as well as basic hand tools. Production Technician or manufacturing experience with duties including preventative maintenance, machine troubleshooting, ect. (preferred) Requires the ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds and stand/walk continuously throughout the shift. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift. Normal visual acuity required. Must be able to squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, reach at or below shoulder level, twist and bend at the neck, twist and bend at the waist and balance.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $36,800 - $46,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than that of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
