As the Manager, Education and Training you will use your knowledge as an (ISC)2certified professional and skills in product design and course development to help craft effective learning experiences across (ISC)2’s certification and professional development product portfolio. You will lead a technical team of content experts and partner with Education team members to empower the cybersecurity workforce to grow in their careers through certification training and professional development.
Assess the needs of cybersecurity learners, using research, data, and feedback from various sources, to prioritize topics to update or add to the course content catalog, and develop/propose IT Learning Paths, working in close partnership with Exam Content Developers and the Education team.
Collaboratively develop content, outlines, structure, and learning objectives for content in partnership with members of the Education team including instructional design staff, LMS and multi-media teams.
Use learning theory and technical knowledge to create an educational experience for learners that successfully teaches new skills or improves the learner’s skill level.
Apply deep knowledge of cybersecurity industry and understanding of major technologies to develop and maintain a relevant curriculum.
Provide technical guidance and content review support to the Education team across all product lines.
Work with the Instructional Design and LMS teams to create video storyboards and scripts, technical guides, job aids, etc.; then utilize an adaptive content strategy to maximize ROI of each piece of content produced.
Liaise with community, industry, and learner support teams to adapt and maintain curriculum.
Develop a deep understanding of our intellectual capital to leverage across multiple product offerings.
Bring new and innovative technologies and ideas to contribute to educational material creation and deployment.
Participate in quarterly product intake meetings and provide critical technical review of content submissions.
Manage staff responsible for the development of interactive lab experiences that are integrated into professional development courses.
Manage a team responsible for coordination of work related to production of our Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) textbooks, including administration of CBK committees.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Information Technology, Information Security, or related field is required
A CISSP is required for this position; additional cybersecurity certifications, particularly those offered by (ISC)², are desirable
Minimum of 5 years of professional information security experience is required
At least 4 years of experience leading people/teams
Demonstrated success, at least 3 years, developing and growing education and credentialing programs as revenue-producing business lines
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of best practices in adult learning, distance learning, education program design, and development and evaluation
Experience developing learning solutions
Experience in a highly regulated industry i.e., information security, credentialling, or similar

Physical & Mental:
Up to 10% travel may be required
Work normal business hours and extended hours when necessary

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components
