Honeywell Engineer Support Specialist II in Clearwater, Florida

Join a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex inertial navigation systems within Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. As an Engineering Support Specialist for the Defense Surface Navigation Systems Team, you will work closely with engineering leadership on managing data collection and processing, documenting product specifications and processes, and technical illustrations. You will help coordinate project planning and scheduling, act as a liaison between engineering groups, and provide data reporting for both internal and external customers. You will support the configuration management of a complex product line and help the product development team with responding to product and technical documentation inquiries from internal and external customers.

You will report directly to our Systems Engineering Manager and you will work out of our Clearwater, Florida location on a hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

· Supports System Requirements Reviews (SRR’s), Design Reviews, Peer Reviews, and other product development reviews. Generates review packages, collects actions and notes, and helps close out the actions from the reviews.

· Supports release of documents, drawings, code, and executables through Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for product line into TeamCenter, and generates physical media when required by the project.

· Understands the product development process, and provides support for development of the Test Plans, Product User’s Manuals, Test Reports and other documents as needed.

· Support configuration management for the product line, ensuring accurate and up-to-date product configuration data

· Manage spreadsheets and databases of product configuration data, ensuring data integrity and accessibility

· Manage the export of technical data to internal and external customers, ensuring compliance with export control regulations

· Sets up and maintains project folder structures

· Helps and mentors new engineers with onboarding tasks, including laptop acquisition and setup; requests for access to department and project folders; requests for software tools and peripherals; access to relevant training modules; and maintenance of the engineering team startup guide.

· Coordinate and manage engineering hardware assets for engineering testing and shipping to customers for bailment agreements

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics

· 3+ years of experience using PC tools such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Adobe Acrobat

· 1+ years using an engineering development process
