Job Title: Controls/Automation Engineer

Job Description

Join our team as an Automation Engineer at our 457,000 square foot aseptic 'fill and finish' site, dedicated to producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. As part of a global network, you'll focus on key production processes including sterile formulation, filling, inspection, device assembly, and packaging. You'll be a vital part of teams working on new projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Hard Skills

  • BA/BS in engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum three (3) years of engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, and/or packaging systems

  • Experience with SCADA systems (e.g., Ignition, FactoryTalk), PLC & HMI (Rockwell/AB, Siemens), historian/data collections

  • Programming & configuration of process control systems

  • Windows based operating systems & associated applications

  • System interfacing & integration, user access management

  • Knowledge in Oracle, IT competencies (domain, networking, firewall, group policies/permissions, system backup & restore)

  • Experience with MES (PAS-X), databases

  • Programming PLCs; Siemens and Allen Bradley

  • Database technology - experience working with batch record system

Soft Skills

  • Proven expertise in planning/organization

  • Strong project execution skills

  • Effective in following up on results & revising work plans

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Clayton, North Carolina.

Work Environment

The workweek is M-F, 9-5.

40 hours per week. ANything over that is booked as overtime.

This is an onsite role in a pharmaceutical manufacturing area on the Engineering side that supports the business. The facility operates 24/7. You will be part of either the aseptic side focusing on clean utilities & inspection or the finished packaging side. The role involves a 1st shift schedule and includes being on call by rotation for one week, with the ability to remote in and a separate cell phone provided.
