DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an HVAC Refrigeration Technician, you will maintain and operate air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, ventilation, and associated HVAC equipment. You will identify and troubleshoot complex equipment malfunctions, analyze equipment issues, perform diagnostics, repair and replace parts, and test equipment to ensure proper functioning. This position requires independent thinking, self-direction, and timely completion of assignments to ensure the comfort of our 152 acre facility with over 40 buildings. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. Weekend work is every 12th week on a 12-person rotation and on-call holidays are on a 12-person rotation. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Successful completion of the HVAC and Building Automation Technician trainee program (commonwealth title);or Three years of experience in the maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC and refrigeration systems, units, and equipment including one year working with commercial or industrial HVAC or refrigeration equipment and controls;or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year working with commercial or industrial HVAC or refrigeration equipment and controls.
Special Requirements:
All employees must obtain EPA Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification from an approved provider within 6 months of employment.
You must have an active motor vehicle license.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
