This high school internship, located in Lackawanna County is the perfect opportunity for you!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK Throughout this experience, you will become familiar with personal protective equipment, how to use it correctly, and the importance of maintaining a safe work environment. You will also have the chance to witness an example of an unsafe scenario involving equipment for reference. In addition, you will observe how the organization schedules preventative maintenance activities and learn the necessary steps for completing them. Collaborating with experienced technicians, you will have the opportunity to perform preventative maintenance tasks accurately, while also learning how to identify potential failures and report them. After completing the maintenance, you will review the operational systems of different equipment using diagnostic tools and flow charts to identify and replace any defective components as required.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

If you are selected for this position, you will work directly with your workplace supervisor to determine a work schedule that coordinates with your school schedule. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Must be at least 16 years old at time of hire; and Must be in a junior or senior enrolled in High School.

Additional Requirements: Must be a vo-tech (career and technical center) student in an approved cooperative vocational training program that has prepared the student for the duties and the description of work described in this posting. Letter of Recommendation: You must attach a Letter of Recommendation from your school's co-op coordinator, career or guidance counselor, or similar designated school professional indicating you meet your school's requirements and are being recommended for this opportunity. Work Permit: Minors will be required to submit their Work Permit upon acceptance of this position. By participating in this program, the student and school agree to use the Commonwealth's Training Plan, Statement of Responsibilities, and Student Performance Evaluation. Forms will be provided to the student upon acceptance of this position. You must be able to perform essential job functions. How to Apply:
