Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains appropriate filing and recording of financial records, transactions and ensures proper backup of all files;

  • Prepares, submits and interprets financial reports as needed by the Board/Executive and/or manager such as financial statement drafting, Profit and Loss analysis, journal entries for accruals, adjustments, reconciliations and reclassifications.

  • Performs bank account reconciliations on a monthly basis and when needed, communicates with the bank to understand and reconcile any discrepancies; monitoring and updating the cashbooks

  • Prepares requests for payments and ensures all disbursements have appropriate supporting documents and level approvals;

  • Ensures all expenses and requests for disbursements are approved by the appropriate authority and within the policy;

  • Providing accurate GL codes for invoices and department cost allocation

  • Ensures all accounts payable are recorded in the system, reconciled and reported to manager;

  • Reconciles Balance Sheet accounts monthly, including but not limited to bank, accounts and other receivables, prepayments, leased asset and liabilities, accruals and other BS accounts.

  • Follows up on invoice discrepancies with suppliers;

  • Ensures that the books of accounts under his/her task assignment are accurate, updated and submitted on a weekly or monthly basis depending on the needs of the company;

  • Ensures proper accruals, amortization, and admin overhead allocation per department

  • Monitor cash advances of employee and timely recording of liquidation.

  • Coordinates with other departments, managers, counterparts and stakeholders as needed;

  • Prepare tax computation and filing and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies.

  • Other responsibilities that may be assigned from time-to-time.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • CPA or equivalent certification is preferred but not required.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting or a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based and following Philippine holiday calendar

  • May require occasional extended hours during month-end closing or audits.
