Description
Position Summary
- Draws blood.
Essential Functions
- Collects blood specimens by arterial puncture, venipuncture, and capillary microcollection techniques from both in- and outpatients.
- Performs as courier as needed.
- Performs limited clerical and receptionist functions as needed.
- Trains nurses, ambulance personnel, others to draw blood.
- Agrees to comply with the Corporate Compliance Policy and all laws, rules, regulations, and standards of conduct relating to the position and has a duty to report any suspected violations of the law or the standards of conduct to his or her immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Chief Executive Officer.

Qualifications
- Valid PA drivers' license.
- Good interpersonal skills needed due many patients' fear of phlebotomy.
- Skill in phlebotomy needed but can be taught OJT.
Working Conditions
Possible exposure to infectious body fluids. Much standing and bending.* *
