Prysmian Group Training Specialist: Prooftest and Meas in Claremont, North Carolina

  • Position Description:

  • Individual will be an employee of the Fiber Plant. The person shall provide support to the Fiber Prooftest and Measurements processes of the fiber facility

  • Position will oversee training on all 4 shifts – balanced coverage per shift is required

  • Work with operations to define assignment of trainers to trainees.

  • Must ensure that trainers are properly training operators to the training plan and Standard work procedures while ensuring the correct pace and effectiveness of training.

  • Ensure operators that are deficient in skills get trained on the skills needed.

  • Periodically audit processes to ensure that standard work is being followed.

  • Communicate with Process Engineering any deviation from Standard work or suggestions for improvement/change.

  • Assist in development of effective training materials for the processes

  • Responsible to ensure proper delivery and training of updated standard procedures (PDC’s).

  • Responsible to ensure all documentation is being completed in a timely manner – Training logs, PDC Signoffs, Approval from SME’s etc.…

  • Ensure the recertification of operators on a periodic basis

  • Evaluate competency of operators on a periodic basis in order help define training needs

  • Maintenance of all associated spreadsheets

  • Coordinate with operations to ensure appropriate shift assignments

  • Attend weekly or bi-weekly training meetings with staff

  • Ensure all product meets requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management Systems

  • Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines

  • Must Champion exceptional housekeeping & 5S in all areas of the factory

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management
