JOB TITLE:                   Store Manager

REPORTS TO:              Operations Manager

OVERVIEW:  The Store Manager is responsible for developing, administering, and managing a productive store location engaged in the sale of value priced merchandise by performing the following duties either personally or through store staff.

DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hire, train, and maintain a pool of trained associates based on the store sales and payroll controls.
  • Plan and prepare work schedules and assign store associates to specific duties and goals.
  • Supervise store associates engaged in all aspects of the store (i.e., cashier, customer service, section resets and stocking, store appearance and cleanliness, etc.)
  • Train store associates for greater responsibilities to allow advancement within the company structure.
  • Evaluate inventory levels and order or request merchandise.
  • Ensure all pricing and signage guidelines are followed.
  • Ensure compliance of all company established policies and procedures as indicated in the company handbook, such as New Hire policy forms (Drug Policy, Employee Discount, PCI Compliance, etc.).
  • Responsible for protecting company assets and insure confidentiality.
  • Answer all customer and associate issues or inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Responsible for processing incoming freight assigning or completing inventory placement on sales floor.
  • Handling outgoing freight in a timely manner, such as store to store transfers.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, organized backroom. The goal is to keep back stocked inventory at a minimum and get all inventory on the sales floor as soon as possible.  
  • Properly train closing Assistant Managers to lock and secure store, along with securing cashier drawers and petty cash fund.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned by management.
