We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our precision manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality metal components according to detailed specifications. You will interpret technical drawings, ensure the accuracy of parts. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment are essential. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in CNC machining and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean workspace.

salary: $45,760 - $58,240 per year

shift: Second

work hours: 2:30 PM - 11 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Follows router on shop order or Non-Conformity Ticket

• Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

• Uses measuring tools to control machining operations such as dial indicators, micrometers, scales, tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools.

• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.

• Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

• Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.

• Makes setup sheets for new jobs and updates old setup sheets.

• Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining problems

• Keeps machines and work area clean and free of debris.

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• standing for 8 hours at one time
