Citigroup Commercial Strategies Senior Analyst in Ciudad De Mexico, Mexico

The Commercial Strategies Senior Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with merchants to work on promotions, strategies and business opportunities to drive incremental spend. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of payments, ecommerce and consuming industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the sub function/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with top merchants on a day to day basis to coordinate, create, implement, and deliver promotions and spend strategies to drive incremental numbers and exclusive experiences to clients when paying with a Citibanamex product.

  • Integrates payments, ecommerce and consuming industry knowledge and research to implement strategies and improve them if necessary to achieve expected business results.

  • Works hand to hand with marketing teams to implement communication and media strategy of promotions and commercial deals for targeted clients.

  • Assists in the implementation of industry campaigns and tailor made strategies across merchants and Citibanamex consuming products.

  • Analyses P&L, data and results as a tool for decision making and to better understand business objectives.

  • Assists merchants and cross functional teams in building skills needed to offer better payments experiences according to client needs, and proposes solutions in line with business objectives

  • Requires in-depth understanding of how other areas such as business intelligence fraud, authorizations, acquirement, legal among others collectively integrate and coordinate them to contribute to the objectives of the overall business

  • Applies disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function and to attract new merchants and business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in Commercial Strategies, Payments, Product Management and/or Product Development discipline.

  • Understanding of logistics or Industrial verticals experience with bank products, payments, monthly installments, e-commerce and promotions solutions preferred.

  • Fluent in english, capable of conduct business conversations and respond to emails effectively.

  • Good social skills. Ability to build relationships, communicate with others and speak in public.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with a strong emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint as fundamental work tools.

  • Applies judgment to solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives

  • Uses quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop new, innovative solutions

  • Ability to apply ingenuity and creativity to problem analysis and resolution in complicated and/or novel situations

  • Demonstrates confidence in delivering presentations to clients and senior managers.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Proficient in handling and managing stress appropriately.

  • Skilled in preparing executive presentations.
