Job Description

Job Title: Material Handler I

Report directly to: Lead Material Handler.

Job Summary: As a Material Handler I, you will be responsible for driving the tasks of receiving, storing, preparing and packing shipments, returning, labeling, reconciling and distributing medications and clinical supplies. Your role includes ensuring compliance with good manufacturing, storage and distribution practices, local and international regulations, company policies and the instructions and procedures of each project. All of these logistics operations must be carried out following the specifications and computer/administrative tools required by the company and/or client.

Duties and Responsibilities: Perform processes of receiving, labeling and storing received material. Receive and verify received materials, comparing them with purchase orders and shipping documents. Participate in the distribution of daily tasks of receiving, storing, preparing and packing shipments of clinical supplies. Participate in labeling processes following internal procedures. Prepare and ship requested materials and/or products to research sites. Store materials in designated location, ensuring they are properly labeled and organized for easy access. Conduct periodic inventories to ensure accuracy of records and availability of required materials. Perform all activities efficiently and safely. Perform the process of returning clinical materials from research sites. Perform preparation and dispatch of materials destruction process. Perform packaging and repackaging of reusable containers. Prepare and package components in refrigerated, frozen, and deep-frozen conditions. Other duties may be required to meet business requirements. Handling controlled medications and special security substances. Handling warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet trucks, cargo lifts)

Required Education: Completed high school.

Experience (Technical Knowledge/Experience) At least 1 year of experience in similar warehouse tasks and in drug logistics. Knowledge of Excel No certifications or licenses required.

Knowledge, skills and competencies: Knowledge of good storage and distribution practices. Basic knowledge of Outlook and Office packages. Highly motivated, diligent, careful and organized. With a flexible and willing attitude. Ability to handle multiple tasks and times. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Customer orientation and willingness to work as a team. Integrity, intensity, innovation and involvement.

Location/Division Specific Information This position is based in Mexico City, CDMX, Mexico within our ambitious Michoacán Distribution Center #20 Del. Iztapalapa, CDMX Mexico

Division Physical Requirements / Work Environment This role involves physical activities such as lifting and moving materials and working in various temperature conditions including refrigerated, frozen and deep-frozen environments.
