Howmet Aerospace Maintenance Tech IV in City of Industry, California
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Good communication skills & know basic shop math
Ability to work in fast paced environment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, policies and procedure in English
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as required
Able to lift/move up to 30 pounds regularly
Able to follow and carryout instructions
Ability to perform LOTO
Ability to operate Mobile Equipment
Knowledge of basic shop tools
Able to do gauging and measuring
Knowledge of basic machine mechanics
Basic computer skills (e.g. Outlook, Work Order Database)
Able to assist with basic tasks assigned by lead, supervisor or more senior maintenance tech with basic electrical and/or mechanical work orders
Must be Mobile Equipment Operator Certified
Able to use Express Maintenance Proficiently
Basic knowledge and demonstration of basic pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing and electronics
Able to demonstrate at basic level jobs requiring industrial wiring, motor controls, and HVAC
Able to demonstrate basic knowledge and demonstration of troubleshooting shop floor machinery
Able to do moderate PLC troubleshooting
Advanced knowledge and demonstration of troubleshooting maintenance work orders related to mechanical repairs
Basic knowledge and understanding of HVAC repairs and maintenance
Basic knowledge of electrical repairs & troubleshooting
Advanced troubleshooting skills for all shop floor machinery
Advanced level fabrication/sheet metal work

Education and/or Experience
Highschool or GED preferred
Minimum of 7+ Years of Maintenance Experience
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, policies and procedure in English
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to comprehend basic shop math (algebra)

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to lifting, pushing and/or pulling parts and pans up to 30 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is loud, and proper PPE is required at all times on manufacturing shop floor.
Benefits/Salary:
The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation. The salary range for this position is $26-$32/hr.
