Teva Pharmaceuticals is looking to fill a Production Team Lead role in Cincinnati, Ohio. This position is responsible for overseeing the operations related to the manufacturing of encapsulated pharmaceutical products through equipment set-up, operation, clean-up and maintenance in compliance with all regulatory cGMP requirements and company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•Qualified in Production Tech and Senior Production Technician duties: Assigning daily tasks to production technicians pertaining to manufacturing of encapsulated products, while completing manufacturing documentation per approved procedures. Includes reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy per established timelines

•Act as qualified trainer of those with less experience. Conduct in-direct supervision of others in the team.

•Provides input into annual performance evaluations of production technicians as applicable. Investigate and resolve problems. Clear and concise communication to Process Lead and Supervision/Management

•Extensive equipment knowledge to perform trouble shooting and root cause analysis. Develops solutions to complex problems requiring resourcefulness and creativity/innovation and ensures solutions are consistent with organization’s objectives.

•Work is performed without appreciable direction while exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment

•Good organizational skills, basic first-line management skills for daily operation, situational Leadership and decision-making skills.

•Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards including expert knowledge of cGMP standards, and the current Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)

•Coordination of production tasks to meet assigned schedule


Equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.


  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Prefer associates or technical degree

  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a regulated industry

  • Prefer previous experience in a leadership role


  • Motivate and lead others

  • Computer proficiency with knowledge of automated systems (i.e. ERP) preferred

  • Self-directed with ability to organize and prioritize work

  • Communicate effectively with written and oral communication skills

  • Interact positively with co-workers, team, and supervision

Physical Requirements:

  • Required to routinely wear personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses, powered air purifying respirator, gloves, etc

  • May be required to stand for prolonged periods of time

  • Occasionally lifting or moving heavy objects up to 50 pounds
