Job Summary The GPO and Specialty Account Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the Account Management approach to Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and Specialty Pharmacies (SPs) (eg, ION, OnMark, Unity, VitalSource, Premier, Vizient, Biologics, Onco360, US Bioservices, etc.) in the U.S. This role is charged with ensuring that Eisai has relevant relationships with GPOs/SPs to help ensure appropriate access to Eisai oncology products in the physician office/hospital setting of care. This role works with other members of Market Access to negotiate all contracts with the GPO/SP to ensure appropriate product placement within target rates and excellent patient/data service levels. Responsibilities also include leading bi-weekly business teleconferences, creating business plans, rollout of Eisai product marketing objectives and developing ongoing access metric reports. This position also interacts on a regular basis with other Account Management teams, Field Sales Management, Customer Marketing, Pricing and Contracting, Marketing and counterparts within co-promotional partner organizations. This is a field-based position that reports to the Director, GPO SP Account Management. Essential Functions Will be responsible for account management of GPO/SPs (including establishing and maintaining contractual relationships) Will manage all day-to-day contractual related Oncology GPO/SP account management operations for the U.S. market for in-market and pipeline products and will directly manage certain relationships with GPO/SPs as part of assigned responsibilities Will ensure launch readiness with GPO/SPs for Eisai in-market and pipeline products Will ensure that GPO/SPs fully provide all contracted services Will develop account specific business plans, execute against them, and provide quarterly business update Will collaborate and assist sales regions, as needed, with pull through support and education based on GPO/SP penetration in key regions Will present contract proposals to assigned accounts and deliver supporting educational information in an effort to execute contract strategies as needed Will display high level of financial acumen and negotiation skills Will explore on-label pathway inclusion of Eisai oncology products Will understand the market for oncology products covered under the medical benefit in terms of coverage/reimbursement issues impacting Eisai products, existing and emerging payer policies, competitive reimbursement landscape, trends, pricing, contracting strategies, and potential barriers to provider and patient access Will monitor the evolution of CMS/payer coding, coverage, and reimbursement policies that could impact the Eisai portfolio and monitor / assess payer reimbursement decisions Will work cross functionally to foster the development of GPO/SP capabilities by educating key stakeholders Will ensure compliance with all laws, regulations and guidelines Will ensure strong and effective business relationships with key internal functions Will be responsible for the implementation and execution of all Company policies Securing and/or protecting product specific access objective and leadin
