Job Overview The College of Medicine, Hoxworth Blood Center, Department of Clinical Services, is recruiting for a full-time (100% FTE), Sr Data Reporting Analyst position. Primary responsibilities include performing business analysis using various techniques, e.g. statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data mining to create high quality reports to be used for operational, inventory management, and executive level decision making. This position will support the University\'s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff, and all our activities. Essential Functions Determine best practices and develop actionable data-driven insights and recommendations to support the organizational decision-making process. May be requested to create executive summaries, executive briefings and benchmark reports. Work with departments to define business problems and questions; perform analysis. Provide technical writing support. Collaborate with data architect or application specialists to identify the data sources required to support an analytical project or development of a complex report. Research, collect, develop, and implement data analysis for gap, competition landscape, and infrastructure alignment. Utilize ETL tools to automate standard reporting. Evaluate diverse data sets, identify new types of data and data sources to determine patterns; synthesize data into meaningful metrics and numbers; monitor data quality, identify inconsistencies, and develop recommendations to optimize business processes and performance. Develop load plans using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), or similar program, to quickly demonstrate new concepts, reports and dashboards; utilize reporting tools (i.e. OBIEE/OBIA) to build reports and dashboards. May create and maintain dashboards in Tableau to solve business problems. May monitor fund balances and budget reporting. May coordinate with department, technical teams, business divisions, and faculty for funding opportunities, notifying management and relevant faculty. May maintain databases for analyzing sponsored research productivity. May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.). Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time. Required Education Bachelor\'s Degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field. Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Experience Three (3) years of experience in reporting, ETL processing and/or background in complex data analysis techniques.
