The Specialist of Diversity and Inclusion will provide leadership and support for BSMH’s recruitment, retention and support of a diverse workforce, ensuring that BSMH reflects the communities that it serves at all levels of the organization. The Manger will also collaborate with the Talent Acquisition and Talent Development teams to ensure that strategies, tactics, and metrics are in place cross-functionally and at the market level to achieve inclusive local hiring goals as part of the Healthcare Anchor Network priority.

This role will support and provide day to day management of key Diversity and Inclusion programs focused on increasing the diversity of candidates and associates in talent pipeline at BSMH. The specialist will report to the Vice President of Culture and Inclusion.

  • The Specialist will build programming to provide direct support for underrepresented candidates and associates to enter and grow in the ministry.

  • Work with the LCDIs to build and leverage programs that increase the representation of POC, women, people with disabilities and veterans at all levels of the organization.

  • Organize program and activities in accordance with the mission, values, and vision.

  • Ensure goals and strategies are met in accordance with the mission, values and vision.

  • Establish metrics, track, monitor and support candidates and associates in retention and development programming.

  • Designs, manage and recommends innovative talent programs and practices to acquire and develop key talent.

  • Leads the ministry-wide implementation of D&I talent programs.

  • Builds talent action plans with HR and business leaders.

  • Develops assessment strategies to determine effective of programs to grow diverse talent.

  • Identify and recommend necessary resources and develops policies and practices to support programs.

  • Develop and maintain a budget and operating plan for the program.

  • Meet with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.

  • Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.

  • Analyze program risks.

Education

  • Requires a BA/BS in Organization Development, Management, HR Development or related field;

  • Advanced degree or professional learning and development certification preferred.

  • Proven experience in program management, diversity and inclusion, and HR a plus.

Work Experience

  • 5 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Proven stakeholder management skills.

  • Proven experience managing a team.

  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
