The role will report to and work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to improve the efficiency of the Warehouse Team Members. The clerk will be the direct communication link between our valued business transportation and the Cremer Bottling Team. Verify and maintain records of shipments for outgoing and incoming cargo including, validate incoming and outgoing shipments with PC based management tools. Communicate carrier status and issues to other PCNA team members and assist in resolution. Prepare reports for management as required. POSITION REQUIRMENTS Education, Credentials, Licenses: High School Diploma required. Associate degree (or higher preferred) KIND & LENGTH OF EXPERIENCE: This role requires a demonstrated history of a high level of attention to detail to prevent shipping errors. 2 - 3 years of experience in shipping/receiving, including producing shipping documents required. Experience with international shipments is highly preferred. Good computers skills, proficient with MS Office, able to learn and use ERP system. Must be able to perform shipping duties as necessary. Must be able to become forklift certified is required. Effective reading comprehension and communication skills, oral and written. PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS: Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications. Act and be safe at all times. Understand and adhere to all task, departmental, site, and company safety rules or standards. Assist in maintaining a safe work environment. Comply with all customers, regulatory, and quality requirements in the performance of all tasks as set forth in the company's policies and procedures. Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities. Confer with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes. Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, or engineering. Confer with establishment personnel, vendors, or customers to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays. Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, or quality control measures. Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands. Calculate figures, such as required amounts of labor or materials, manufacturing costs, or wages, using pricing schedules, adding machines, calculators, or computers. Distribute production schedules or work orders to departments. Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, or customer information, so that status reports can be completed.
