The Senior Recruiter , reporting to the Regional HR Director will be responsible for recruiting for our high-level and/or technical roles and supporting all regional recruiting efforts. Additionally, this individual will help to develop and build effective strategies for growing our pipeline of qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and build candidate pipelines to support numerous exempt requisitions that cover a multitude of skill sets and functions

  • Determines and coordinates recruiting and new candidate sourcing needs on an ongoing basis by consulting with regional leaders, and hiring managers to align talent strategies with business objectives

  • Create job postings that list requirements for each job, such as desired work experience, education, and job skills posting them internally and externally

  • Efficiently review resumes identifying the most qualified candidates to move forward in the evaluation process

  • Locate qualified, potential applicants using databases or online job posting boards

  • Perform initial outreach to candidates to gain their interest in job opportunities

  • Communicate with potential applicants by phone, email, or in-person

  • Sets appointments, makes travel arrangements for candidates, conducts interviews with prospective candidates; schedules follow-up interviews as needed.

  • Deliver best-fit candidates to Hiring Managers in a timely fashion

  • Provide detailed, accurate interview notes along with hiring recommendations to hiring managers

  • Send offer letters and release candidates not selected

  • Communicate progress and coordinate changes with hiring managers and candidates

  • Manage candidates and workload through UES’ applicant tracking system (ATS)

  • Follow up with candidates prior to their first day and periodically throughout their first 90 days of employment

  • Build and maintain relationships with regional academic institutions, thirty party vendors, and other talent pipelines to ensure a steady flow of qualified candidates.

  • Design and execute regional internship program

  • Maintain activity, pipeline, and outcome metrics through weekly and monthly reports

  • Assists managers in responding with meaningful feedback to internal candidates not selected

  • Travel to branch locations to develop and deepen relationships and understanding of our various roles

  • Maintain confidentiality of all personnel and candidate information

  • Assist with integration of new systems, processes, and procedures

  • Other projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred

  • 5+ years of experience recruiting and sourcing

  • At least 2 years in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry

  • Demonstrated success with direct sourcing and passive candidate engagement.

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and social media applications

  • Excellent analytical skills to track metrics and interpret data for strategic recruiting campaigns

  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal

  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to network and establish professional relationships

  • Availability to travel within the United States to visit branch locations within the Midwest region, attend job fairs, interviews, and networking events
