About the Department The College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology (CECH), at the University of Cincinnati, is dedicated to making a difference in our communities through outreach, academic programs, and community partnerships. Job Overview The Center for Youth Futures (CYF) in the Office for Innovations & Community Partnerships (EICP) out of the College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services and Information Technology (CECH) is seeking a Program Manager to coordinate, develop, and maintain programmatic features and daily operational activities that include, but are not limited to the following areas: 1. UC Bearcat Academy development. 2. Coordination of new Center student outreach programs to Cincinnati schools. 3. Development of curricular units for various outreach programs. CECH has developed programs to provide readiness initiatives for students in grades 7-12 at Cincinnati Public Schools and other districts throughout the school year and with summer residential program components. In addition to developing college readiness skills, opportunities for school students and University of Cincinnati students to interact with one another in a mentoring relationship has been provided. These programs are now ready to be expanded, bringing more opportunities to school students to develop their academic skills and to reflect on actions that will influence their future lives. The opportunity for more University students to be involved in mentoring relationships with school students is ready to be expanded. The person in this position will work with staff in CYF who currently deliver readiness programs and will develop new readiness program approaches. They will work on campus and in the schools. Essential Functions Manage, design, develop, modify and present programs.Perform program needs assessment and make recommendations. Implement policies and procedures. Maintain budget, prepare contracts, approve and monitor expenditures, prepare budget requests and financial reports. Act as liaison to internal departments, external entities and community organizations. May prepare and edit reports and/or newsletters and develop publication materials. May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time
