Title: Porter and Valet Location: 3rd and Main Shift: Flexible Part-Time Monday through Sunday Pay: $14.00/hour, non-tipped The Spirit of the Position: The Garage Porter is responsible for all janitorial responsibilities for garages and surface lots, ensuring they are maintained and cleaned daily. Interacted with customers, handled disputes, and communicated effectively between departments, co-workers, customers, and clients. This position also requires you to valet on select days and customer service. The Valet Attendant plays a significant role in the company's success. They are the first person our clients and customers see upon arrival and the last person they see when they depart. A warm welcome, smiling face, and professional demeanor are paramount. Principal Job Duties: Open and close doors for every customer upon arrival and departure. Help direct traffic to keep the flow of cars clean and organized, all with a smile on your face! Turn off each car and remove the keys. Provide each customer with a valet ticket and provide a retrieval process. Park and retrieve cars like a champ. This means carefully, efficiently, and promptly. Responsible for general maintenance of thegarage and surface lots- sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash, changing light bulbs, painting, etc. Assist with snow removal and winter upkeep (managing sidewalks and garages). You may need to operate the garage/floor sweeper and scrubber to ensure the floors are clean and safe. Responsible for ensuring all daily duties on the maintenance checklist are completed efficiently and timely. Greetcustomers usingtheir names, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, display a caring attitude, and develop rapport with the customer base. Provide vehicle assistance to customers in garages and surface lots. Assist customersover the intercom system, in lobbies, lanes, and the parking office. Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help. Assist with cashiering functions as needed. Customer Service Experience Janitorial Experience Education: A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required. Experience: Experience with general facility maintenance is required. Experience in customer relations. Parking industry experience is preferred but not required. Skills: Ability to communicate professionally and effectively. Willingness to be flexible and work multiple facility locations. Ability to handle challenging and, at times, emotionally charged situations. Must be able to work unsupervised. Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language. Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).
