The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Health & Disease provides patient care in both the hospital and ambulatory settings and takes great pride in offering services for common, complex, and rare medical conditions. The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Health & Disease is seeking to fill a Nurse Practitioner role for University of Cincinnati Medical Center hybrid inpatient/outpatient. Essential Functions Practice clinical and patient care according to professional practice standards and institutional policies and procedures. Conduct intake assessment/triage/admission, including pertinent history, physical, psychosocial, and cultural dimensions. Identify patient's needs and be involved in ongoing assessment when appropriate. Interpret patient's condition and abnormal findings and communicate in a timely manner to the physician and all appropriate members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Participate in hospital and provider performance improvement activities. Required Education Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program. Required Trainings/Certifications Active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority. Active Board Certification in appropriate nursing specialty. BLS Certification. Required Experience Three (3) years nursing experience. Additional related work experience may be required depending on specialty/sub-specialty.
