Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Receptionist in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is within the healthcare industry and is based in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace. The primary functions of this job include answering and handling incoming calls, greeting and registering patients, as well as managing patient check-outs and follow-up appointments.

Responsibilities:

• Operate telecommunication systems to answer, screen and forward calls, providing information and taking messages

• Welcome and register patients upon their arrival, and guide them through the necessary paperwork

• Prepare patient charts and ensure that all medical records are accurate and up-to-date

• Handle patient check-out functions, including reviewing encounter form data and collecting co-payments

• Schedule follow-up appointments for patients to ensure continuous care

• Conduct daily bank deposits and perform day-end reconciliation duties

• Utilize various Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Epic EMR, athenahealth, and eClinicalWorks to record and retrieve patient information

• Assist in charge/receipt-entry and prepare charge-receipt summaries for all office-related services Requirements • Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar role for at least one year

• Proficient in medical front office operations

• Familiarity with EMR - Electronic Medical Records systems

• Knowledge of patient registration procedures

• Ability to use patient registrar systems effectively

• Experience with Epic EMR software is desirable

• Proficiency in using athenahealth or similar healthcare software

• Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or similar medical practice management software

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities

• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality as per HIPAA guidelines

• Ability to multitask and handle patient inquiries promptly and efficiently.
