Cleaning Technologies Group Manufacturing Supervisor in Cincinnati, Ohio

Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor

Department: Manufacturing

Reports To: Manufacturing Manager

Exemption Classification: Exempt

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS to PERFORM DUTIES

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow the agreed practices as defined in the quality management system.

• Work within the scope of your responsibilities.

• Check your work to verify its accuracy in meeting the objectives.

• Know how you contribute to the achievement of the objectives.

• Oversee all manufacturing personnel and their duties, ensure productivity, quality, attendance, safety, moral and attitude assure that the machines are built within budget with the highest standard of quality, and to the customers satisfaction

• Supervise the building of machines and assist with all other aspects of manufacturing.

• Assign jobs to Leadmen.

• Put build teams together.

• Schedule painting of machines and engineering run-offs.

• Assist engineering in scheduling engineering and customer runoffs.

• Reorder defective parts when necessary.

• Track budget shop hours and completion dates to make sure each job has enough manpower to get the project built within budget.

• Work with leadmen and master builders on safety, quality workmanship, blueprint, welding, fabricating, time management, processing, and expediting missing parts.

• Expedite with purchasing missing parts.

• Interview perspective employees.

• Write performance appraisals.

• Work with traffic manager when it’s time to ship machines.

• Record daily time sheets using (ADP) for shop personnel.

• Enforce all safety and company rules and policies.

• Other functions as directed

Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead, manage and direct employees and activities within the department. Will assist in training of temporary/new employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma, and/or Equivalent. Minimum of 10 years' experience in all phases of shop production, “Leadership skills for Lead Workers” certification or equivalent.

Language Skills: Communicate verbally and/or in writing with other employees, other departments and supervision as to work in progress, problems and/or completion. Must be able to present information to groups of employees

Mathematical Skills: Above average ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide basic numbers.

Reasoning Ability: Be able to identify work process problems and possible solutions.

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Maintain local, regional and/or national memberships in appropriate professional organizations/associations

Physical Demands: Stand for prolonged periods of time on concrete floor. Will be required to kneel, squat, stoop, recline, climb, crawl, and/or bend on an as needed basis. Must be able to adjust visual focus.

Work Environment: Traditional shop atmosphere. Subject to temperature variance based on season. Loud noise level. May be exposed to various fumes or smells based on job.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Must have technical knowledge of the product. Must wear appropriate safety devices when in factory environment. Must have knowledge of welding, blueprints reading, how the machine functions, and how the components work. Must have working knowledge of PC’s and associated software applications.
