Lab Technician, Third Shift, Phlebotomy Department UC Health is hiring a part-time Lab Technician for the phlebotomy department for third shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The Lab Technician collects specimens by venipuncture, skin puncture or other special collection technique; receives specimens (accessions) into LIS and performs pre-analytic processing of specimens. - High school diploma or GED required and Formal Phlebotomy training program /externship.
- Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of specimen requirements preferred; prefer familiarity with laboratory terminology, laboratory expected turnaround times; ability to read and comprehend written information required; keyboarding skills preferred; ability to effectively and efficiently perform a variety of job duties in a stressful, fast paced environment is required. Ability to provide effective customer service in accordance with hospital RITE values.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
