Description: A Virtualization System Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Evendale, OH 45215. This is a full time, direct hire position with full benefits. The be considered for this role, you must be a US citizen, and must possess an Active Secret security clearance or be willing to obtain one. Additionally, you must hold an active CompTIA Security+ certification or be willing to obtain one.

Ideal candidates will have virtualization platform management competency equivalent to an associate degree plus a minimum of four (4) years of work experience supporting, building, and deploying virtualization platforms.

Job Duties:

· Duties for this position will include:

· Installation, configuration, and management of Virtualization platforms

· Research and Investigation into industry standard deployments of platforms

· Application of Security minded controls and configurations

· Embodying the role of Subject Matter Expert for Virtualization for the broader team

including investigation of escalated issues from all parts of the business

Required Qualifications:

· Experience installing, configuring, and managing VMware vSphere versions 7 and 8

· Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining VCF version 5.0 and above, and NSX versions 4 and above

· Some experience managing other virtualization platforms: Hyper-V, Nutanix, Citrix, Cloud

· 4+ years of Windows (Server 2008/2012/2016/2019, Windows 7, 10, 11) systems administration experience including Group/Local Policy management.

· 3+ years of experience with Windows Active Directory account management

· Strong interpersonal skills and clear communications in multiple formats with ability to tailor communications to different audiences and purposes.

· Candidates must be US Citizens and have (or be eligible to obtain) a DoD Secret security clearance, with investigation date within the last five years.

· Candidates must have (or be willing to obtain) the CompTIA Security+ Certification.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

· 2+ years of experience with Linux RHEL 6/7/8 administration

· 2+ years of application or platform development experience

· VMware VCP Certifications: Data Center, Networking, Automation, Security

· Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining VMware Aria Suite and Horizon VDI Solutions

· Leadership experience

· Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

· Strong attention to details

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, to include the ability to produce and deliver presentations and training on new technology implementations.

· Proactive disposition to research technical issues, contribute to process and technology improvement discussions, and learn new tools and technologies required to excel in their role.

· Professional Demeanor to work in an active professional office environment and ability to communicate with high level managers and decisionmakers as needed.

· Collaboration, Decision Making, and Risk Management - experience in change planning and execution, ability to understand the requirements of complex changes and work with Program/Product Managers to engage other departments & resources as required

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $90,000 to $115,000 annually.
