IT Communications Specialist

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing, improving, maintaining, and implementing the voice communications network infrastructure

  • Provide high-level support to TQL employees in both critical situations and day-to-day operations. This includes addressing questions related to voice applications, programming, and hardware platforms

  • Administration of phone system MACs (move, adds and changes) for our Cincinnati headquarters and (55) satellite office locations

  • Develop and support Avaya Aura IP Telephony infrastructure platform inclusive of Avaya Communication Manager, Avaya Session Manager, Avaya Media Gateways, Avaya EMC, Avaya Communications Manager Messenger, Avaya AES and Avaya Experience Portal

  • Contribute as a key member of the Telecommunications team in the on-going support of call accounting, call recording, ACD configuration/installation, TDM/PRI and SIP transport management and other voice related technologies

  • Provide exceptional customer service to end users

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 4-6+ years of telecommunications experience

  • Advanced knowledge of Avaya Aura Communication platform, VeraSmart Call Accounting, Oaisys Call Recording, Avaya CMS ACD programming and voice/data networking principals

  • Ability to manage all phases of assigned goals/projects including design, implementation, communications, documentation and support

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to participate in after-hours on-call support rotation
