We are currently seeking an Electrical Project Engineer in our Cincinnati office. As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will provide a high level of leadership in a technical, project management, marketing, or business development discipline for less experienced staff. Scope Responsible for calculations, system design, equipment selections, reports, progress submittals, BIM instructions for their project, and specifications required to assure project completeness and accuracy within the allocated period of time and monetary budget. The Electrical Project Engineer II consistently exercises his/her own discretion and judgment in the performance of these duties. Principal Responsibilities Act as Lead Engineer on projects and is able to perform complete electrical systems design (for a discipline) according to code; Specify equipment based on project needs and available technologies; research resources for commercially available equipment; Calculate costs and time schedules for proposed work; review all files to determine scope and personnel involved; Maintain good client relations, project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files; Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, clerical and equipment suppliers; Document design decisions, meetings, and instructions from client promptly while monitoring project design progress as related to fee expended; Review all project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check; Prepare and issue addendum information; Recognize potential project problems quickly and seek advice from the Project Manager; Review design methods, procedures, changes in scope, and client correspondence with the Project Manager; Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement; Mentor designers and /or technicians; Other duties assigned by the employer. Skills Competency of the technical aspects of one's discipline; A demonstrated aptitude for managing projects; Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs, CAD software and BIM; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; A minimum of six years of qualifying experience; Professional Engineering license. This position not eligible for sponsorship Physical Requirements Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds.
