Bon Secours Mercy Health Director Physician and Provider Relations in Cincinnati, Ohio

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position:

The Director of Physician & Provider Relations is responsible for oversight of the Physician and Provider Relations shared service in their designated markets. They lead the development of a high performing sales culture, implementing proven relationship management techniques that improve in network utilization.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Determines staffing and assures optimal productivity and budget stewardship related to the physician relations team.

  • Manages integrity of Salesforce documentation and optimizes reporting functionality.

  • In collaboration with the System Director of Physician and Provider Relations and with guidance from system, group and market leaders, establish an annual Product Portfolio for each market.

  • Serve as active member of each market Physician and Provider Relations Council (PPRC), collaborating with Director of Network Operations and Market President on strategic agenda.

  • Monitors and manages the Physician and Provider Relations Incentive Compensation Plan.

  • Provides team and individualized sales training including but not limited to web-based education, interactive training including role play and consistent on the job learning (ie, ride-a-long).

  • Collaborate with market Physician and Provider Relations Council frequently on growth priorities and adjust the Physician and Provider Relations call plan accordingly.

  • Partner with system and market analytics to assure consistent reporting on Physician and Provider Relations touchstone metrics to measure productivity and impact.

  • Communicate consistently with strategic partners in population health, the medical group and market operations to assure alignment on growth priorities.

  • Monitor Salesforce Case trend and activity to assure effective, efficient solution-based impact.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on demographics, competitive landscape and emerging disruptors for each assigned market.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on industry trends that may have impact on organic growth for established priorities.

5 years of direct sales and 5 years of sales leadership
