UC HEALTH LLC Dialysis Technician, Hemodialysis, Day Shift in CINCINNATI, Ohio

In addition, this position is responsible for inventory control, basic machine care/tasks and order entry into computerized systems.

  • Preferred Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Health Care Related.
  • OCDT Required
  • Minimum Required: 1-3 years

UC Health is committed to providing an inclusive, equitable and diverse place of employment.Patient Population (Clinical Only): - Engage in population-appropriate communication (5%) - Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development milestones and tasks - Give clear instructions to patients/families regarding treatment - Involve family/guardian in the assessment, initial treatment, and continuing care of the patient - Identify and respond appropriately to any physical limitations of the patient, deploying intervention when necessary - Recognize and respond appropriately to patients/families with behavioral health problems - Interpret population-related data and plan care accordingly - Identify and respond appropriately to different needs resulting from unique psychological needs or those associated with religious/cultural norms - Perform treatments, administer medication, or operate equipment safely - Recognize and respond to signs/symptoms of abuse or neglect Selected Aspects of Patient Care: - Assist dialysis & apheresis patients with repositioning, transferring, weighing, feeding, and personal hygiene Technical Procedures Related to Dialysis Procedures: - Set up and tear down dialysis machines in the dialysis unit and intensive care units - Check machines for the presence of disinfectant - Perform
