Description

We are seeking a versatile and highly organized Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist for a contract role. The successful candidate will effectively manage open accounts, improve tenant relations, and resolve any outstanding payment issues.

Responsibilities:

• Review open accounts for collection efforts and make outbound collection calls in a professional manner

• Address all past due balances with collection calls, default letters, and escalated accounts

• Communicate with tenants regarding unclear charges and work with Accounting to clarify them

• Generate aging reports, tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues

• Negotiate with tenants for non-payment cases, understanding reasons for delays and reporting to management

• Mail correspondence to encourage payment of delinquent accounts

• Facilitate resolutions of tenant complaints and requests in coordination with internal departments

• Meet with the Portfolio Management Team to provide updates on collection progress and unresolved matters

• Perform additional duties as assigned

  Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years Account Receivable and/or Collection experience

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred (not required)

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume, deadline-oriented environment

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both oral and written

• Proficiency in Excel
