The opportunity

Teva Pharmaceuticals is looking to fill a Calibration Technician III role in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, the Calibration Technician will perform calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of a variety of instrumentation to assure accuracy and proper operation of production and facility equipment.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Perform calibration and adjustment of facility and production instrumentation utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management System (Infor10 EAM system) to ensure systems are operating at validated standards.

  • Prioritize workload to ensure compliance and maximize operational uptime.

  • Development of new calibration methods, Standard Operating Procedures, procurement of appropriate standards.

  • Assist with training of calibration technicians.

  • Identify and correct safety hazards and assist with creation of equipment specific LOTO procedures.

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of production and facility equipment, utilizing root cause problem solving techniques to prevent recurrence.

  • Repairing and maintaining Building Automation System controls, HVAC controls and networks, production equipment, computer based controls, electronic instrumentation and programmable logic controllers.

  • Provide technical support to equipment / facility related validations as required.

  • Plan and prioritize project/activities (work orders, daily work, site coverage) in a continuously changing environment and create contingency plans to maximize production time and meet unexpected needs.

  • Project management skills to individually implement small projects or support projects related to facilities and equipment.

  • Use a variety of computer software, including Microsoft Office, to generate reports as necessary.

Your experience and qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with instrumentation controls in a production environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in a pharmaceutical, Nutraceuticals, or Medical Device Industry.
