What this job involves - Provides maintenance and repair of building equipment and systems. Experienced in working with HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems. Your day to day: Performs preventive and corrective maintenance for building equipment and systems as assigned. Monitors operation and maintains refrigeration, water cooling and air conditioning equipment; boilers, heating, ventilating and hot water equipment; pumps, valves, piping and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment. Records readings as necessary to assure proper operation of equipment; responsible for reporting any problems/malfunctions Utilizes mobile device for logging work performed. Timely and constant communication with the Operations Manager and Lead Engineer. Complies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Provide on-call assistance as needed. Participate in mandatory utilities outages. Weekend work may be required. Performs other duties as assigned. Sound like you? To apply you need: Education - High school diploma or state equivalent required, minimum of two years of related trade schooling or two years of college. Experience - Minimum 2 years experience in one of the following trades: HVAC, electrical, plumbing or equivalent. Special knowledge and skills - Skilled in use of tools and machinery required by the position. Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes. May be required to successfully complete training, qualification related to the client's programs, or secure licenses required for the operation of the property within one year of start date. I.E. Client Electrical Safety Owner (ESO), Thermal/Combustion Safety Program, Process Safety Programs. Acquire Steam Boiler Operator License (AHJ dependent), Fire Pump, Alarm, Sprinkler System Inspector license, Back-flow Tester license, etc. Training, materials, resources and time will be provided to the employee. Personal characteristics - Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports and has excellent customer service skills. Familiar with computer equipment and programs. Job Requirements: Visually inspect machinery and buildings. Ability to frequently walk up and down stairs for inspections and emergency procedure practice or implementation. Ability to climb ladders up to 40 feet and lift 60 lbs repeatedly. Ability to detect emergency alarms - auditory and/or visual. Equipment inspections require getting on hands and knees to reach areas difficult to access.
