Our Mental Health Team uses evidence-based approaches - proven to be the most advanced and most effective - to treat the full spectrum of child and adolescent mental and behavioral health problems. Our Linder Center of Hope location provides intensive inpatient psychiatric services for adolescents ages 12-17 presenting with a range of mental health disorders, including eating disorders (EDO). The inpatient EDO program is looking for collaborative child psychiatrists to join a multidisciplinary team. Future growth includes re-opening of a partial hospitalization program (PHP) to provide intensive step-down care for youth with eating disorders and other mental health disorders. Eating disorder care provided at the Linder Center of Hope includes: * Direct support during meals and snacks for the patient and family support system * Monitoring of weights, vital signs, clinical labs * Active engagement with our Registered Dieticians for nutritional needs and meal planning * Oral and enteral supplementation to meet nutritional needs * Medical consultation with our Adolescent Medicine team * Goal setting that includes the patient and family support system * Individual supportive psychotherapy (daily on inpatient, twice per week in PHP) * Behavioral consultation with individualized behavioral interventions and safety plans * Daily EDO-specific DBT group therapy * Multiple, daily generalized goal-oriented and skill development CBT groups * FBT-informed family support and education * Community partnerships for continuity of EDO care to needed step-down PHP setting, residential care, and outpatient community services Our Mental Health and Eating Disorder Teams are comprised of the Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Division of Behavioral Medicine & Clinical Psychology, and the Division of Adolescent and Transition Medicine. We provide multidisciplinary outpatient, intensive outpatient and inpatient psychiatric and medical care to adolescents and young adults and are supported by: * 32 Child Psychiatrists, including 10 Triple Board Trained Psychiatrists * 18 Adolescent medicine physicians * 150 Psychologists, including 3 psychologists who specialize in eating disorders * 44 Psychiatric APRNs * 119 masters-level therapists * 39 Social Workers providing crisis services in the emergency department The Eating Disorder Program at Cincinnati Children's is an interdisciplinary, multi-level program serving children, teens, young adults and their families affected by eating disorders.
