Job Overview The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College (UCBA), Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science (MPCS) invites applications for a non-tenure track Assistant Professor - Educator position intended to begin August 15, 2025.The Department of MPCS currently has 25 full-time faculty who teach courses in IT including programming, databases, networking, and web development, as well as mathematics, physics, and statistics. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per term and may include evening, weekend, hybrid, and online classes. Class sizes normally range from 15 to 30 students. The American Association of University Professors serves as the collective bargaining agent for full-time faculty; see the Chapter's website (http://aaupuc.org) for details of the bargaining agreement. This position is not eligible for H-1B or permanent residency sponsorship. Essential Functions Teach undergraduate engineering education courses in addition to mathematics courses. Participate in the governance and committee work of the Department, College, and University, and ongoing professional development in the discipline of engineering education and/or the scholarship of teaching and learning. Will be expected to further departmental goals of developing and sustaining first-year educational programs and preparing students to become high-performing professionals in the workplace through collegial collaboration and teamwork both within the Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science and with other UCBA departments and UC Colleges. Minimum Requirements Prior to the effective date of appointment, all of the following: * A Master's degree in Engineering Education, Engineering, or in a related discipline. * Experience in programming languages (e.g. Python, C+ or MATLAB), * Familiarity with LabVIEW, * Experience in applying engineering problem solving processes as part of an overall design process, and * Two (2) academic terms of college level teaching experience in the field of Engineering as the instructor of record.
