The Administrative Services Manager provides high level support to the Department Chair as well as manage the operation of the administrative assistant services within the department.Minimum Requirement: Associates Degree in Nursing Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Three years of experience

  • Perform responsible administrative staff functions for the Department Chair, frequently of a confidential nature, concerning administrative activities of substantial complexity. - 20%
  • Supervise activities and responsibilities of employees, including: - 15%
    • interviewing prospective employees.
    • ensuring compliance with training and safety standards.
    • scheduling and assigning work.
    • establishing performance measures, goals, objectives and priorities.
    • evaluating work performance, including providing feedback, direction and guidance.
    • keeping personnel informed of new or revised information.
  • Prepare, review and/or proofread documents to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance. - 15%
  • Recommend the development of operating policies and procedures. - 15%
  • Identify and review problem areas such as staffing levels, operating procedures, etc. - 15%
  • Maintain liaison with designated unit directors and administrators, as well as external offices and agencies to investigate and resolve problems. - 15%
  • Perform other duties as assigned. - 5%
