The Manager is responsible for providing production advice & support management at the local and regional level, allowing them to make informed Supply-Chain decisions. This position does so in accordance with DSM- Firmenich's safety, quality, service & cost standards .

This function will be reporting to the Head of Regional Manufacturing, Asia, Perfumery who is based in Indonesia .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise local management with regards to developing sustainable manufacturing excellence through clearly defined objectives and targets;

  • Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, service,cost & asset utilization standards;

  • Develop at the local level, a performance driven culture within the manufacturing base by implementing Continuous Improvement principles;

  • Assess the capabilities of the exiting teams to ensure the necessary capabilities are in place;

  • Provide developmental leadership to local organizations in a participative style to create ahigh performance & accountable organization;

  • Be the SME with regards to utilization of production assets locally;

  • Support the introduction of new products/chemistry in collaboration with S upply Chain

  • Develop manufacturing masterplans for capacity expansion.

  • Drive process automation to improve efficiency.

    We value:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or MS degree in Chemistry, Food Science or Supply-Chain Management from an accredited university required

  • A minimum of 10 years manufacturing management experience within the food, beverage, pharma,chemical or allied products industries.

  • Direct management of cost control responsibilities in manufacturing environment

  • Experience in implementation of continuous improvement and/or lean methodologies is preferred

  • Minimum Green Belt Certified

  • Experience in measuring key performance metrics, and inmotivating and holding people accountable for results

  • Previous change management experience/ability to operate as a value-added business partner with other key stakeholders to drive change is also a plus

  • Excellent communication and team building skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Skilled at working in a fast paced environment open to constant change in demands

  • Self-directed individual with a Can-Do attitude and the ability to work within a team

  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP ERP systems and analytical skills (MS Excel)
