Actalent Medical Laboratory Technician in Chula Vista, California

Job Title: Medical Laboratory TechnicianJob Description

The Medical Laboratory Technician will be working under general and medical supervision, performing waived and moderately complex laboratory tests as defined by CLIA Regulations. The scope of work includes carrying out clinical laboratory test procedures in Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry, and coagulation tests. The role also involves knowledge of Quality control, Instrument calibration, and preventative periodic maintenance of instruments. The technician will be expected to communicate effectively and clearly with medical staff, clients, and patients.

Hard Skills

  • Experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for at least 6 months to 1 year

  • Familiarity with various laboratory instruments such as ISTAT, Piccolo, Chemistry Analyzer, Coulter or any CBC instruments, Urinalysis instruments like Clinitek or Seimens Urine analyzer, Coagu-Check instrument

  • Knowledge of Quality control

  • Instrument calibration

  • Preventative periodic maintenance of instruments

Soft Skills

  • Effective and clear communication

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 24 Week(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Chula Vista, California.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a weekly schedule of 40 hours. The work schedule is from Wednesday to Sunday, 12:00pm-8:30pm.
