The Impact Youll Make in this Role As a(n) Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Facilitating problem solving with cross-functional teams for both customer, supplier and/or internal issues.
  • Implementing preventive and corrective actions in the manufacturing processes
  • Determining continuous improvement opportunities by analyzing process data and performance metrics.
  • Supporting all internal and external customers in the manufacturing of quality products.
  • Willingness to be on-call and flexible to ever changing challenges and opportunities. (interest question)

     

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Five (5) years of experience working in Quality and/or in Manufacturing Engineering in a private, public, government or military environment

     

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Must have experience with ISO 9001 QMS (or similar)
  • Experience facilitating root cause and corrective action investigations utilizing problem solving tools.
  • Ability to perform statistical analysis such as Measurement System Analysis (MSA), capability studies and control charts as well as be able to interpret the results.
  • Ability to create and facilitate the creation/revision of Process Failure Effects Mode Analysis (PFEMA) and Control Plans (CP)
  • Experience in internal auditing.
  • Previous quality experience with rolled materials and adhesives.
  • Microsoft Office proficient, Minitab experience a plus
  • Other Skills:

Work location:

  • Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)
  • On Site at Medina, Ohio location

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international
