Naval Air Systems Command IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK) in China Lake, California

Summary You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK) in the CORPORATE BUSINESS & ANALYSIS GROUP, DITAC DEPT, DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE DIV, MONITORING & RESPONSE BR of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Responsibilities You will the plan and execute network infrastructure improvement and modernization projects. You will participate in the strategic planning and support of infrastructure sustainment efforts. You will support networks under the purview of Digital Information Technology Analysis and Cybersecurity (DITAC) under NAVAIR Weapons Division. You will interface directly with the network architects and other key stakeholders regarding key networking efforts supporting operationality and sustainment. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications DS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Managing and administering network infrastructures including routing, switching, security boundaries, proxies, and monitoring appliances; 2) Demonstrating expertise in networking technologies such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Aruba Networks, Juniper, etc.; 3) Reviewing configurations and troubleshooting network services issues. Your experience must also reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. DS-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Demonstrating knowledge of network infrastructure; 2) Managing and administering network infrastructures including routing, switching, security boundaries, proxies, and monitoring appliances; 3) Reviewing configurations and troubleshooting network services issues.
