Naval Air Systems Command FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in China Lake, California

Summary You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Product Support Analysis Division, Program & Business Analysis Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Responsibilities You will assist with budget development, execution, forecasting, trending, analysis and detailed financial reporting on overhead, direct, and external funding. You will be responsible for monitoring budget plans and execution, analyzing data, evaluating and interpreting findings. You will provide recommendations and presenting quality reports and analysis to the customer and senior financial analysts. You will provide input to various data call requests. You will advise cognizant personnel of discrepancies in planned versus actual and propose adjustments. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications DA-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band (DA-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Utilizing Microsoft Excel and the ability to extract data from automated systems and format into reports; 2) Assisting with financial analysis and interpretation and evaluation of funding plans; 3) Tracking funding, validating expenses, reviewing transactions in accounting system, and reconciling accounts; 4) Providing financial management advice and guidance regarding financial regulations, policies, and procedures. DA-02: Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band (DA-01) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate related duties in the following: 1) Performing data entry into automated systems; 2) Analyzing problems to identify significant factors; 3) Gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; 4) Communicating effectively orally and in writing.
