AutoZone, Inc. Sr General Services Manager in Chihuahua, Mexico

Summary:

This position is responsible for managing a team of managers that provide diverse support to AutoZone. This role will identify and implement strategies to bring similar operational teams to work as a single unit. Lead and mentor a manager's team in implementing procedures that will help support AutoZone's business. You will investigate non-standard requests and problems, make presentations to senior leadership, ensure project documentation is accurate, and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Guarantee KPIs are being met and created as required by upper management to build a true center of excellence.

Plan and execute training sessions to keep the team updated and create team KPIs that help the business measure development and understand workloads. Be responsible for delivering desired, sustainable business outcomes and ensuring the integrity and continuity of our diverse reporting environments, from defining requirements to roll-out. A senior manager position is about strategic leadership. Validate that work is performed accurately, analyze errors, and resolve problems. You will need to be comfortable multitasking and effective at organizing work assignments. You must work on approvals and maintain the staffing budget for each fiscal year.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with business partners on which organizational decisions could affect your team's operation and prepare for such changes.

  • You will need to consider the business implications of the application of technology to the organization's current and future environment.

  • Apply subject matter expertise to drive, develop and implement product roadmap for all operations. Create internal & external analytics, business intelligence, and reporting solutions for the enterprise.

  • Understand and leverage the application of reporting and dashboarding technologies to solve problems for the enterprise.

  • Project Management. Ensures quality of development by closely monitoring programming standards are being adhered to by staff - including coding standards, change process, and documentation.

  • Guarantee procedures are followed effectively and propose improvements as the team becomes the process expert.

    Requirements:

  • Level of formal education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent. Master's degree (MA, MS, MBA) is a plus.

  • Area of study: Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or related field

  • Years of experience: 7+ years

  • Type of experience: In analysis and reporting, management or similar roles

  • Presentation, facilitation, and writing skills.

  • Project management – estimating, planning, controlling, and execution.

  • High communication skills to debate and present ideas to upper management. (Directors, VPs, SVPs, EVPs)

  • Is the final authority on road mapping and how to best deliver results within their domain and a regular technical supervision source.

  • Maintain and get approval from business SSC partners for staffing budgets and initiatives for different teams.

  • Requires frequent persuasion or influencing of others in and outside the team. May assign and review the work of others. Requires good interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive or controversial situations.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Excel, SAS, Workfront, Jira

  • Databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Informix, DB2)

  • KPI Creation and follow-up (Monday, Workfront, Report creation)

  • PM Methodologies (Agile, sAFE, Lean Six Sigma)

  • Expert problem-solving, domain technical, and analytical skills.

  • Deep expertise in at least one business area. Store Operations, Commercial, Merchandising, Loss Prevention, Human Resources, Maintenance, and/or IT.
