Resideo Sr Firmware Engineer in CHIHUAHUA, Mexico
As a Sr Firmware Engineer you will be responsible for design, new products development, transition, implementation, and ongoing support. Applies engineering principles to new product development and analysis for solution of technical issues related to the design and manufacture of electronic products.
Responsible for new product introduction, product enhancement, cost reduction and ongoing production support of new products on electronic control products as embedded software developer. Apply engineering principles to the analysis and solution of technical issues related to the design and manufacture of high volume, electronic and electromechanical products.
This engineer applies state of the art knowledge of microprocessors and embedded SW design to assure high-quality, low-cost solutions.
JOB DUTIES:
Responsibilities include collaborating with hardware product design engineers and other software developers.
work with marketing on definition of product and system requirements
collaborate with operations teams to assure the voice of the customer is represented in new and improved designs
work with source on selection and development of suppliers.
YOU MUST HAVE:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded software development.
Bilingual (English and Spanish) with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience developing embedded software with RTOS or multitask environments, including Embedded Linux.
Strong hardware knowledge related to BSP & HAL, including bootloader and specific components like Wi-Fi, Z-Wave communication, and USB stacks.
Good understanding of SDLC.
Experience working with custom hardware and using tools like logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, debuggers, and protocol analyzers..
Scrum master experience
Ability to work independently and within a global organization, with occasional travel for extended periods.
Organized with the ability to manage diverse workloads and release required documentation systematically.
Experience in coaching less experienced engineers and explaining technical topics to non-technical individuals.
Familiarity with project development methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall.
WE VALUE:
Scrum Master Certification
Experience with NXP, STM, Texas Instruments, ESP, Renesas microprocessors and IAR Systems compilers. As well as ARM architecture.
Good understanding and experience with wireless networks and connected systems architectures.
