SIMEDHealth Front Office Coordinator in Chiefland, Florida

SIMEDHealth is currently looking for a Front Office Coordinator to join our Chiefland team! 

The Front Office Coordinator is a working supervisor that is responsible for supervising all patient service functions, including patient flow, scheduling, check in/out, referrals, work comp coordinator, medical records, charge posting, fax server, referrals and authorizations, insurance verification and staffing related issues. The Front Office Coordinator serves as a role model for other front staff and promotes teamwork, integrity and continuous improvement. The Front Office Coordinator strives to maintain exemplary patient services and satisfaction standards at all times. The Front Office Coordinator is a highly visible “go to” person that is responsible for creating a positive impression with staff, patients, family members and other visitors to the office.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • High School Diploma REQUIRED

  • AA Degree or higher PREFERRED

  • Proficiency in communication and be well organized REQUIRED

  • Demonstrate extreme proficiency with customer service, communication and creativity REQUIRED

  • 2-5 years in a supervisory capacity PREFERRED

  • 3-5 years previous health care experience PREFERRED

  • Experience in Intergy or similar EMR system PREFERRED

The following are some of the duties which may be required of you as a Front Office Coordinator:

  • Supervision of front office staff.

  • Shall be trained to fill in and be able to perform all the functions of the positions that you are supervising.

  • Assist supervisor with performance evaluations, staff selection, corrective action/counseling and resolving employee issues.

  • Collaborate with supervisor and Nursing Staff Coordinator to help resolve any bottlenecks while maintaining consistent patient flow. Coordinate provider clinic rescheduling and blocking of schedules.

  • Collaborate with supervisor to implement new programs, procedures or protocols.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA/CLIA/HIPAA and provide training as needed.

  • Train and orient new staff members.

  • Assist with 30-60-90 day evaluations for staff.

  • Assist with monitoring staff hours and timecard processing.

  • Assist with daily deposits.

  • Coordinate schedules, staffing needs, work flow and delegate assignments.

  • Assist with office supply ordering.

  • Work with Accounts Receivable department as needed to respond in a timely manner to all requests.

  • Provide patient assistance with clinic concerns or questions.

  • Observing patient and staff safety policies & procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
