Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese WIC Center Asst Dir - Float in Chicago, Illinois

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* of the position are detailed below, and include any physical requirements below that.

  1. Must have availability to work at all of Catholic Charities WIC Food and Nutrition Center locations. Assignment to sites may be either short or long term and work hours and shifts (including overnight shifts) may vary based upon staffing needs 2. Assists in oversight of the daily operations of assigned WIC Food and Nutrition Center; including facility management, opening and closing of store, staff supervision, inventory maintenance and control, ordering of equipment and supplies, and promoting positive customer ad vendor relationships.3. Provides direct supervision of center associates, episodic daycare staff, college bound and high school staff including training and development, discipline, and performance evaluation.4. Maintains operations of the assigned Center by initiating, coordinating, and ensuring effective and efficient operations of the store, as well as ensuring compliance with personnel policies and procedures of the Agency and funding bodies and external vendors.5. Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient, including implementing strategies to maintain and, if necessary improve customer service.6. Maintains a clean and safe internal and external Food Center environment according to the WIC Food Center standards.7. Completes all aspects of the inventory management including ordering, receiving, distribution and returns as well as estimating future trends and documentation of product sales.8. Provides support to WIC Food Center Lead Associate during peak periods or when scheduling conflicts arise.9. Provides continuous staff development and training to Food Center staff on products, policies, procedures and applicable standards. Reviews staff performance and assesses learning needs with the WIC Food Center Director. Prepares monthly inventory reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.10. Operates with minimal supervision in day to day operations; seeks consultation in situations which may present risk to the Agency; including conflict resolution with customers, staff, or vendors.

This position may require the operation of Heavy Machinery as defined in the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago Community Development & Outreach Services Drug and Alcohol Policy ("CDOS Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy")

May be required to operate heavy machinery.Must be flexible to work at other WIC Food and Nutrition Centers.Must be able to work evening, nights, and weekends.Is subject to call back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, post-disaster, etc.).

EDUCATION:

Preferred: Associate's Degree

Minimum: GED

EXPERIENCE:

Preferred: 3-5 Years
