About the role

Performs non-technical light maintenance, occupancy vendors and perform preventative maintenance, grounds keeping, and custodial duties under direct supervision.

Engineering and Engineering support including developing procedures and methods, technical reports and documentation, technical evaluations of events to determine root cause; recommends corrective action. Preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems. Evaluation of equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield. Equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance). Troubleshooting and diagnoses of equipment problems.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities for this job include, but are not limited to:

  • Follows all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.

  • Performs various ad hoc assignments: minor repairs to file cabinets, office furniture, keyboard tray installation, ceiling tile replacement, carpet tile replacement.

  • Performs general labor work as assigned including loading, unloading and moving materials. Supports internal moves through delivery and collection of crates and other packing supplies.

  • Manages inventory of storage rooms to ensure contents are accounted for and orderly at all times.

  • Maintains key inventory, providing replacements and responding to desk and office lockouts.

  • Performs housekeeping functions and maintains the professional appearances of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas.

  • Assists maintenance staff, engineers and company vendors as requested. Escort vendors as directed and review completed work.

  • Recognizes and solves typical and atypical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval.

  • Evaluates and selects solutions from established options.

  • Impacts team through the quality of the services or information provided.

  • Follows standardized procedures and practices and receives regular but moderate supervision and guidance.

  • Explains detailed and/or complicated information within the team.

What you’ll need

  • High school diploma or GED with one to two years experience.

  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.

  • Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

  • Ability to understand and carry out general instructions.

  • Ability to address problems in standard situations.

  • Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook.

  • Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • Requires established understanding of work routines and standards and applies skills and knowledge in a range of processes, procedures and systems.
