Assist in the creation and signoff of E80s Warehouse Management Systems Functional Design (FD); design areas include System Landscape, Data Layout, Item Master, Material Handling Rules, Operational Procedures, Interfaces (application and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)), and Reporting. Responsible for capturing and tracking issues / action items and publishing status. Define Functional Description of the assigned project, in agreement with established E80 guidelines (Functional Description Template) and define timeline (Functional Design must be ready to be approved by the customer within 3 months from the date of the customers purchase order). Organize and lead the meetings needed to define the systems functional behavior (internal E80 meetings and customer meetings). Responsible for protocoling meetings. Responsible for validating that the right people are involved on the customer side. Oversee the Functional Description approval by the customer and if Function Description is used by the Software Project Leader as required to build the project software. Responsible for driving the FD to approval (both E80 internal and on customer side). Responsible for driving the process of defining the technical specification documents that structure the interfaces between the E80 system and the customer systems (host, and PLC). Handle throughput and data analysis. Gather from the customer the data (real or realistic) defining the project flows and throughputs (production rates and codes, shipment rates, distribution and codes and warehouse utilization). Understand the data assumptions made by the system analyst and compare them with the data obtained by the customer. Perform a static analysis of the data detailed above to identify possible criticalities of the project. Manipulate and organize the data so that it can be used as input for the LGV Mission Test Phase. Define and lead the project Software Test Plan (schedule and execution details) according to established E80 standard process. Write and publish the Software (SW) Test Plan no later than 1 month after the FD approval. Ensure that the input from the Software (SW) Team Project Leader and other relevant people is included. Participate and lead the SW Test execution, to make sure that all the critical aspects of the system are identified, and potential problems resolved. Organize and lead the SW acceptance testing phase. Update and upload on data management software (Windchill) the SW Test Plan according to the standard procedure. Act as the main point of contact for functional issues or change requests during the projects installation phase. Telecommuting is permitted up to one day a week. Up to 30% (international and domestic) travel required.
